Kearney Man Injured in Clay County Crash Early Sunday

A Kearney man suffered injuries in a Clay County accident early Sunday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred on I-35, at Highway 152, as a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Jacob M. Cole headed eastbound.

Troopers say a fleeing northbound vehicle struck a concrete barrier, became airborne, and struck Cole’s vehicle.

Cole suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Liberty Hospital.

Authorities say Cole did wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.
