Kearney Pedestrian Killed in Clay County Accident Wednesday

A Kearney pedestrian was killed in a Clay County accident Wednesday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on 69 Highway, just south of Vintage Road, when a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Excelsior Springs resident Tommy W. Brewer was heading southbound.
Troopers say 76-year-old Kearney resident George A. Weaver was walking in the roadway and was struck by Brewer’s vehicle.
Weaver was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by authorities.
