Kearney Woman Injured in Clay County Crash Tuesday

A Kearney woman suffered injuries in a Clay County crash Tuesday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 9:10 Tuesday morning on Highway A, at Northeast 136th Street, as 35-year-old Kansas City resident Lauren A. Brought drove eastbound.

Troopers say Brought failed to yield to a southbound vehicle driven by 53-year-old Kearney resident Susan L. Gibson.

Gibson suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at North Kansas City Hospital.

Authorities say both wore seat belts at the time of the crash.
