Kentucky Man Injured in Freightliner Crash on I-35 Sunday

A Lexington, Kentucky, man suffered injuries in a Harrison County crash Sunday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 6:45 Sunday morning on I-35, at mile marker 92.8 in Bethany, as 32-year-old Rusingiza I. Blaise drove a Freightliner southbound.

Troopers say Blaise went off the west side of the road, struck a sign, returned to the road, overcorrected, overturned, struck a second sign, and came to a rest on the driver’s side.

Blaise suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Harrison County Community Hospital.

Authorities say Blaise did wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.
