King City Board Receives Construction Project Update

King City School Board members received an update on their construction project planned for this summer during their meeting on Monday. The board will review the plans for the project later this month. The project will be bid out on May 16th.

The board agreed to the expense to place a maintenance coating on the school’s track from Fisher Track. King City will also perform lead testing this summer.

The board agreed to purchases for cooling machines, bleacher repair for the old gymnasium, plastic cover for fences, and agreed to allow Hudl to provide videos for sporting events for King City.

King City will participate in the Career Ladder Program and the Baseline Teacher Grant Program offered by the state.

The district will also contribute $400 for students attending the National FCCLA competition. $1,000 will be contributed to the instructor attending.

Non-certified staff members were rehired. The board also offered a contract to Anita Gilbert for the elementary school at the session.
