King City Continues To Pursue Police Chief

King City’s Board of Aldermen gave the city clerk a salary figure to use in attempts to recruit a police officer for the City of King City during a meeting held Monday night.

King City has attempted to find a new police officer since the fall. The city council told the city clerk that the city would like to spend between $45,000 and $55,000 for the next police officer for King City.

Jessica Jones met with council members regarding the vacant City Attorney position at King City. The council would like for her to develop a proposal for the city to consider at a future meeting.

3 bids for solid waste services were opened at the meeting. Red Gate Disposal had the lowest bid at $15.73 per household and had representatives there to answer questions at the meeting. Later in the meeting, the council directed to clerk to call on the references given by Red Gate. The contract could be voted on at the next meeting.

King City Council members designated where their salaries will be donated. Those included the King City Boys Baseball Organization, the King City Fire Department, and the School Lunch Program.

Clevenger and Associates was also approved for the King City annual audit.
