King City Council Approves Backhoe Purchase

King City’s Board of Aldermen approved the purchase of a backhoe and received other project updates during their meeting held on Monday night.

After a lengthy discussion, the council approved the purchase of a CASE Loader Backhoe from VLP. Two bids were discussed. The cost to the city will be a little over $48,500.

Council members agreed to spend a little over $1,300 to repair seal cracks for the city’s tennis courts. The repair is only meant to be a stop-gap measure while a committee raises money for a more permanent fix.

King City Chamber of Commerce members updated the council on their plans for the Chamber Christmas with Santa.

The emergency water line project is now completed. The city’s final payment will be $6,649.

Truck tires were also approved during the meeting.
