King City Council Approves City Tax Levy
King City’s Board of Aldermen approved the tax levy for the year during their meeting Monday night.
King City’s tax levy will total $1.08 per hundred dollars of assessed valuation. The levy breaks down to 74 cents into the General Fund, 2 cents to the Parks Fund, 18 cents to the Health Fund, and 15 cents to the Police Fund.
Applications are being taken for the King City Police position.
A 3 percent trash service increase will be on the August bills for residents.
Jennifer Davis was approved as a temporary building inspector.
Bids will be taken to paint pickle ball lines on the King City tennis court.
Street work at King City is now completed.
A bid of $5,000 was approved to remove trees along Highway 169 that are obstructing drivers.
A presentation was also made requesting the city consider an ordinance restricting 1st floor apartments from King City’s business district.
