King City Notified Of Waste Management Rate Hike
King City’s Board of Aldermen approved a request to close Ohio Street for an event being held every Saturday of the month beginning in April and continuing through October. King City’s Chamber of Commerce asked for the request at the council’s meeting on Monday for a vendor’s event being organized as a way to promote sales within King City. That event will be held from 8am until 3pm each third Saturday of the month from April through October.
The Chamber also announced that the Easter Egg Hunt will be held April 15th on the Tri-County Museum grounds. King City’s council also contributed $500 to the event.
The city has received notice that the residential waste management rates will increase beginning April 1st. The residential rates will include by $2 per month to $15.18 per month. The commercial rates will increase by 16.67 percent.
Council members were updated on a leak at the King City Reservoir.
Council members also received an inquiry regarding a community batting cage project from an attendee at the council meeting.
