King City Resident Cited With DWI Following Crash Near St. Joseph

ANDREW COUNTY, MO – Two King City residents were injured in a one-vehicle accident overnight.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 41-year-old Christine Venable was southbound on US 169, 4 miles north of St. Joseph around 12:25 am when she became distracted. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, skidded down the embankment and overturned, coming to rest on the passenger side.

Venable was taken to Mosaic in St. Joseph with serious injuries. Nineteen-year-old Taylor Corbin has minor injuries and sought medical treatment on his own.

The driver was cited for driving while intoxicated.
