A Kingston 16-year-old was seriously injured following an accident on U.S. 36 Highway just west of Hamilton Tuesday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the 16-year-old male juvenile from Kingston was crossing 36 Highway and was hit by another vehicle operated by 78 year old Jean Golden of Chillicothe. Both of the vehicles were totaled in the accident. The juvenile was taken to Cameron Hospital with serious injuries. Golden had minor injuries from the accident and was taken to a Chillicothe hospital.

The accident took place at 5:15 Tuesday evening.
