Lawson Teen Taken By Life Flight After Wreck Early Sunday
A Lawson teen was taken by Life Flight after an early morning accident Sunday in Clinton County.
Troop H of the Highway Patrol says 18-year-old Lawson resident Robert W. Becker was driving a 2001 Saturn eastbound on Route P-P four miles east of Holt in Clinton County at 5:42 A.M. Sunday when he crossed the center line, went across the westbound lanes and off the north side of the roadway.
The vehicle then reentered the roadway and overturned, ejecting Becker from the car, before traveling off the south side of the roadway and coming to rest on its wheels in a field.
Becker suffered serious injuries in the accident. He was taken from the scene by Life Flight and taken to Truman Medical Center for treatment.
The Highway Patrol says Becker was arrested for Class B misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and not wearing a seat belt but was released fro treatment of his injuries.
