Lawson Woman Hurt In Monday Evening Accident

A Lawson woman was left with moderate injuries after a one-vehicle accident Monday evening north of Lawson.

Troop H of the Highway Patrol says 21-year-old LAwson resident Alexa E. Owen was driving a 2010 Ford Edge southbound on U.S. 69 Highway about three miles north of Lawson at 9:40 P.M. Monday when she had to swerve to miss a deer in the roadway.

The vehicle then went off the roadway coming to rest facing south.

Owen was reportedly wearing a seat belt but suffered moderate injuries in the accident. She was taken by Lawson Fire and Rescue to Liberty Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
