Troopers report a Lexington woman suffered injuries and faces charges in a late Monday crash in Lafayette County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 10:55 p.m. on U.S. 24, at Riverview Road, as a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Lexington resident Jenna S. Jackson drove eastbound.

Authorities say Jackson crossed the center line and struck a westbound vehicle driven by 47-year-old Norborne resident Phillip D. Buie.

Both Jackson and Buie suffered serious injuries and sought treatment at Liberty Hospital and Truman Medical Center, respectively.

Troopers say Jackson was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Following the accident, troopers arrested Jackson on preliminary charges of driving while intoxicated causing serious physical injury, and failure to drive in a single lane.
