Liberty And Excelsior Springs Residents Hurt in Two Car Crash

 

Two people were left with injuries after a two-vehicle accident Sunday evening in Clay County.

According to Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol a 2016 Dodge Charger driven by 23-year-old Excelsior Springs resident Trevor L. Briggs was traveling at U.S. 69 and Cameron Road when his vehicle hit the rear end of a 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan being driven by 67-year-old Liberty resident Linda L. Stotts.

After the collision both vehicles traveled off the left side of the roadway and came to rest.

Briggs was wearing a seat belt but suffered minor injuries. Stotts was not wearing a seat belt and suffered moderate injuries.

Both individuals were taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment.
