Livingston County Bridge to be Replaced Through FARM Bridge Program
The FARM (Fixing Access to Rural Missouri) Bridge Program will soon replace another bridge in our listening area.
The Livingston County Route C bridge over Shoal Creek, just west of Dawn and east of Route DD, is scheduled to close on Monday, December 5, for construction and should remain closed through April 2023.
In addition to this planned closure, a second bridge on Route C, north of Route DD, also over Shoal Creek, was closed on April 1 due to deterioration discovered during a routine inspection.
A project to replace this bridge is currently out for bid.
MoDOT opened the bids today, and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission could award the project to a contractor at its December meeting.
The construction of both bridges could overlap.
