Livingston County Residents Hurt in Saline County Wreck

Two Livingston County residents were among three people suffering moderate injuries in a two vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon in Saline County.

Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol says a 2011 Cadillac driven by 92-year-old Grand Pass, Missouri resident Herbert H. Richtermeyer was attempting to make a right hand turn into a private drive at about 1:18 Wednesday afternoon on northbound U.S. Highway 65 when his vehicle pulled into the path of a 2003 Chevy being driven by 51-year-old Chillicothe resident Steven M. Standley.

The two vehicles hit head-on before coming to rest blocking the roadway.

Standley and his passenger 76-year-old Tina resident Paul E. Standley both suffered moderate injuries and were taken by private vehicle to Carroll County Memorial Hospital for treatment. Richtermeyer also suffered moderate injuries and was taken by Saline County EMS to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

The Highway Patrol says all three were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
