Livingston County Sheriff – 02/28/2022 – Incidents, Arrests and MORE Public Information

Incident Reports:

LCSO has completed an investigation on alleged child abuse from September 2021 where we received information of the alleged crime in February 2022.  We have forwarded that information to the prosecuting attorney for consideration.

February 26 LCSO at 11:30 p.m. a deputy stopped a vehicle on U.S. 65 and U.S. 36 for no headlights.  Investigation resulted in the arrest of Jordan Tyler Stewart-Humphrey, 23, Hale for alleged Driving While Intoxicated-Prior Offender, Driving While Revoked and No Auto Insurance.  Suspect was processed and cited at the Law Enforcement Center.

February 27 around noon LCSO was dispatched to an address in Wheeling as family returned home and found a relative deceased.  Preliminary investigation strongly suggests suicide.  A Deputy Coroner was summoned to the scene.  Our thoughts and prayers remain with the family and friends.

February 28 about 12: a.m. LCSO responded to an address in Wheeling regarding a physical altercation between parent and child.  Investigation resulted in the arrest of Traci Jo Jones, 40, Wheeling for alleged Domestic Assault-3rd degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.  Ms. Jones was transported to Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail pending warrant.

Arrested February 12:

Christopher M. Rader, 42, by Boone County authorities on Livingston County arrest warrants for alleged case 21LV-CR00628 class D felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and class E felony Tampering with Physical Evidence in Felony Prosecution.  Case #19LV-CR00716-01 for alleged Probation Violation on original class D felony Possession of Controlled Substance.    Mr. Rader will be extradited at earliest opportunity.

Added February 15:

Daquan O. Pierce, 27, Chicago, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for Alleged Probation Violation on original class D felony Illegal Use of a Card Scanner and class B misdemeanor Excessive Speed 26 or more over speed limit.  Bond denied on case #19DV-CR00144-02.  Warrant shows alleged probation violation includes #1 Laws violation, failed to report all arrests to Probation and Parole Office, Condition #7 Weapons, by committing the offenses of Possession of a Firearm with Defaced Serial Number and Resisting Arrest. LCSO Jail Management Records shows Mr. Pierce was incarcerated on this warrant September 18 through October 08, 2020 and was released on bond.

Brandon Gage Gentile, 18, Chillicothe, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant 21LV-CR00391-01 for alleged Probation Violation on original class D felony Tampering with Motor Vehicle-1st degree and class D felony Burglary-2nd degree.  Bond set at $20,000.

Craig Herbert Wilson, 20, Chillicothe, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant 22LV-CR00062 for alleged class E felony Failure to Appear.  Bond set at $2,500.

Christopher Eugene Moss, 29, Breckenridge, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant 22LV- CR00063 for alleged class E felony Failure to Appear.  Bond set at $2,500.

Added February 23:

Jamie Dawn Hughes, 32, Norborne, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant 21LV-CR00345-01 for alleged Probation Violation on original class D felony Possession of Controlled Substance.  Bond set at $20,000.

Added February 28:

Tiffany Latouria Midgyett, 32, Chillicothe, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Obey Judge’s Order on original class D felony Tampering with a Motor Vehicle-1st degree.

Joseph Brett Murphy, 39, Lexington, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class E felony Driving While Revoked/Suspended.

 

Other Arrests:

February 14 LCSO served a civil warrant/commitment on Kevin Daniel Sullivan, 33, Chillicothe from the Circuit Court.  Mr. Sullivan was taken to the Chariton County Jail and later posted the required bond and was released.

February 15 at 8:06 a.m. a deputy made a vehicle stop for expired September 2021 registration.  The stop resulted in the arrest of Shawn Troy Fisher-Graves, 51, Chillicothe, for alleged Driving While Suspended and Failure to Register Motor Vehicle.  Mr. Graves was processed at the Law Enforcement Center and released on summons to appear in court March 16.

On February 19 about 12:01 a.m. a deputy stopped a vehicle for 88 in a 60 on U.S. 65 near LIV 216.  Investigation resulted in the arrest of Terrence Raymond Feeney, 60, Chillicothe for alleged Driving While Intoxicated and Speeding.  Mr. Feeney was processed at the Law Enforcement Center and released on summons to appear in court March 30.

February 23 LCSO arrested Jesse J. Deshazier, 41, Chillicothe, on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class C felony Delivery of Controlled Substance.  Bond set at $5,000.  Mr. Deshazier was processed and posted bond at the Law Enforcement Center.

February 23 about 11:00 a.m. LCSO served a Clinton County arrest warrant in Dawn on Lacey Leanne Stith, 36, Dawn, wanted for alleged Failure to Obey a Judge’s Order on original class B misdemeanor Failure to Register Motor Vehicle and class D misdemeanor No Auto Insurance.  Ms. Lacey was transferred to DDRJ in lieu of $1,000 bond.

February 11 at 4:14 p.m. a Breckenridge driver was cited for 65 in a 45 on Old Highway 190.

February 13 at 4:45 a Kansas driver was cited for 83 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Utica.

February 21 at 12:43 p.m. a Tarkio driver was cited for 85 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Wheeling Junction.

February 22 at 3:08 p.m. a Maryland driver was issued a citation for 87 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Wheeling.

February 23 at 9:57 a.m. a Chicago driver was cited for 99 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Mooresville Junction.

February 27 at 9:15 a.m. a New Mexico driver was cited for 83 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Mooresville.

February 27 at 9:33 a.m. a Kansas City driver was cited for 80 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Mooresville.

February 27 at 9:45 p.m. a Liberty driver was cited for no auto insurance on U.S. 36 at LIV 261.

February 27 at 10:00 p.m. a Topeka driver was cited for 80 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at LIV 261.

 

Additional Information:

February 10 LCSO extradited Joshua Steven Knouse, 33, from Randolph County Sheriff on Livingston County arrest warrants for alleged Failure to Obey Judges Order on original Domestic Assault, Failure to Appear in Court and Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle.  Mr. Knouse was transferred to Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

February 23 LCSO extradited Shelby Marie Barnett, 26, from the Clay County Sheriff on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Obey a Judge’s Order on Domestic Assault-4th degree.  Ms. Barnett was transferred to DDRJ in lieu of $10,000 bond.

February 25 LCSO extradited Trenell Beard, 49, from the Missouri Department of Corrections on warrant from Livingston County on alleged 2 felony counts of Possession of Controlled Substance.  Mr. Beard was transferred to DDRJ in lieu of bond.

LCSO has remained busy working on several investigations including on-going death investigations.

In 2021 the LCSO spent $27,861.75 on fuel for patrol vehicles.  The sheriff had contracted 1,000 gallons of fuel per month with MFA for $1.89 per gallon.  The LCSO ended up using roughly 1,050 galls on fuel per month with MFA.   Some fuel had to be purchased at market value and some was purchased elsewhere on extraditions and training.

Recent LCSO Poll asked if convicted sex offenders should be required to register with the county sheriff in Missouri for life?  Results shows 77.8% said Yes, 14.4% said No, 6.7% said I Don’t Know and the remainder had No Opinion.

Currently the LCSO has 52 detainees in custody.
