Maitland Teen Injured in Atchison County Crash Sunday Night

A Maitland man suffered injuries in an Atchison County crash Sunday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 8:29 Sunday evening on Highway HH, 10 miles east of Fairfax, as 19-year-old Kolten D. Lekey drove southbound.

Troopers say Lekey struck the driver’s side of an eastbound Peterbilt pulling onto the highway from a private drive.

Lekey suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Fairfax Community Hospital.

Authorities say Lekey did not wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.
