Man Sentenced Monday in 2018 St. Joseph Murder

A man found guilty of a 2018 murder, in Saint Joseph, was sentenced to multiple life sentences Monday.

Reports say Jessie Nelson will serve two life sentences and an additional 100 years for first-degree murder, first-degree assault, and armed criminal action in the shootings of Deon Hernandez and Mack Jenkins in August 2018.

Jenkins was killed in the shooting, while Hernandez was left paralyzed.

A Buchanan County jury found Nelson guilty in November.
