Man Seriously Injured in Andrew County after Airborne Accident

A man from Helena was seriously injured after going airborne in Andrew County.

Early Wednesday morning, the Missouri Highway Patrol reports 34-year-old Dewey R. Heath suffered the injuries after his compact SUV went airborne, crossed County Road 281, and overturned several times after striking the ground.

Heath had been driving north on Route Z south of Helena when the vehicle traveled off the side of the roadway which began the sequence of events that saw him eventually transported to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.

The report says that he was not wearing a seat belt.
