Man Seriously Injured in Late Night Buchanan County Accident

A man from Kansas City was seriously injured in Buchanan County after a late-night accident.
The accident occurred at 11:50 pm Monday night according to the report from the Missouri Highway Patrol.
A Kenworth truck being driven by 48-year-old Dennis M. Beaulieu of Sioux Falls, South Dakota was parked on the right shoulder of southbound I-29 at Mile Marker 42.8. The semi was partially blocking the merge lane as 24-year-old Mfariji Mwenebatu was entering I-29 from I-229 south. He struck the rear of the semi. It is unknown if he was wearing a seatbelt.
The injured driver was taken to Mosaic Life Care.
