(Missourinet) Nearly 100-thousand criminal convictions involving marijuana offenses have been expunged in Missouri since Amendment 3 was passed last year.
TV Station KMBC in Kansas City reports that local governments across Missouri are behind on erasing both felony and misdemeanor marijuana offenses, but the state is also dealing with “a century of marijuana prohibition,” according to one of Amendment 3’s authors.
The amendment, which Missouri voters passed one year ago this week, legalized recreational marijuana use for adults.
In 2018, Missouri voters legalized medical marijuana.
