A Maryville man is facing assault allegations after officers responded to a well-being check on Wednesday.
According to a probable cuase affidavit filed with the court, Maryville officers conducted a well being check Wednesday afternoon at a Maryville residence. It is alleged a female at the residence sent a text to her mother stating “911, she is trying to leave and he won’t let her.”
Officers allege that upon arrival they observed a 33-year old female who was physically shaking and had redness under her right eye. The female allege her husband had punched her in the face. Officers located the male suspect, identified as 38-year old Thomas James Affuso II, and placed him under arrest.
Affuso is charged with felony domestic assault in the 2nd degree and misdemeanor harrassment. The court set bond at $5,000.
