Maryville Man Hurt in Car vs Snowbank Accident

A Maryville man was left with moderate injuries after a one vehicle accident Monday morning in Nodaway County.

According to Troop H of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 62-year-old Maryville resident Timothy M. Mackey was driving a 2017 Ford F150 northbound on U.S. Highway 71 about one mile south of Maryville at 10:07 Monday morning when his truck went off the left side of the roadway and struck a snow embankment.

The truck then traveled across a cross-over and struck a second snow embankment before crossing the highway median and into the southbound lanes of Highway 71 before coming to rest on its wheels in the median.

Mackey was reportedly wearing a seat belt but still suffered moderate injuries. He was taken by private vehicle to Mosaic in Maryville for treatment.
