Maryville Motorcycle Operator Seriously Injured In Stanberry Accident

A Maryville motorcycle operator was seriously injured in an accident west of Stanberry Thursday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 72 year old Robert Hunter was driving westbound, 3 miles west of Stanberry, and failed to negotiate a curve. The motorcycle went off the north side of the roadway and through a ditch. Hunter was thrown from the motorcycle an landed on a gravel road.

Hunter was seriously injured in the accident and was flown to Mosaic Life Care in St Joseph.

The accident took place just after 3:15 Thursday afternoon.

The Gentry County Sheriff’s Department, the Grand River EMS, and the Stanberry Fire Department assisted the Highway Patrol.
