MDC Offers Free Compass Orienteering Courses in St. Joseph

The Missouri Department of Conservation will offer a free orienteering course in two sessions in Saint Joseph.
This course will help those who want to use a map and compass to find outdoor destinations in the wild or regain bearings while hiking.
The first session will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, December 11, and the second session will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15.
This class is for participants ages 11 and older.
It will take place at MDC’s Northwest Regional Office on the campus of Missouri Western State University.
The course will follow COVID-19 safety precautions.
Registration is required.
