MDC Partnering In Study Involving Bald Eagles And Atchison County Wind Turbines

The Missouri Department of Conservation is partnering with other organizations in an effort to study how bald eagles interact with wind turbines. The project is based in Atchison County. Bald eagles are being equipped with GPS tracking so their flight patterns can be studied.

The tracking is also being done on other native species.
