Medical Event Leads To Peterbuilt Truck Accident

An Olin, Iowa driver was taken to the hospital after suffering a medical event that also helped cause an accident involving a Peterbuilt truck.

The Highway Patrol says 56 year old Harry Dundee suffered the medical event on Missouri Highway 5, 2 miles south of Unionville. The Peterbuilt truck he was operating went off the side of the roadway and struck an embankment. The Peterbuilt truck was totaled.

The driver was taken to Northeast Regional Hospital.

The Putnam County EMS and the sheriff’s offices from Putnam and Sullivan Counties assisted the Highway Patrol.

The accident took place just before noon Monday.
