Mercer Board Approves Silent Auction For School’s Surplus Property

Mercer School Board members authorized the school organize a silent auction to sell the school’s surplus property. The action was part of a meeting held Monday night. The date for the silent auction will be announced at a later date.

Board members approved the purchase of a new wireless scoreboard for their school’s softball field.

Lunch prices will be raised at Mercer for the upcoming year. Lunch prices will be raised from $2.25 to $2.50 for elementary lunches and from $2.50 to $2.75 for high school lunches.

A bid was accepted from Prairie Farms for milk for the upcoming year.

The board appointed Terry Bomgardner as the school’s Homeless Liaison and Migrant Education Director, Melissa Hill as the Foster Care Point of Contact, and Greg Frost as the school ELL Coordinator.

Mercer’s board will hold their tax rate hearing at their August 14th session.
