Mercer County Bridge Deck Replacement Project Postponed

A bridge deck replacement project scheduled to begin next week in Mercer County has been postponed.

The Missouri Department of Transportation today announced the closing of the Branch of Weldon Fork Creek Bridge on Mercer County Route BB has been postponed until June. The road was set to close Monday, May 17, for the project but contractors with Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc., postponed closing the bridge until Tuesday, June 1.

The closure is expected to continue through July 1, 2021. Motorists will need to use an alternate route during the closure.

This bridge, located northwest of Mercer, is included in Governor Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program.
