Meth and Driving Violations Land Excelsior Springs Man In Jail

An Excelsior Springs man was arrested early Sunday on drug and driving charges.

Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol says 25-year-old Excelsior Springs resident Elijah L. Pate was arrested at 2:00 A.M. Sunday on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while intoxicated, not having a valid license, and not wearing a seat belt.

Pate was booked into the Ray County Jail on a 12-hour hold.
