Miles for Miles Cancer Walk Sets Record

The Miles to Miles Cancer Walk held in October set a record. Over $9,000 was raised through the annual cancer walk to provide proceeds for Harrison County cancer patients.
The Harrison County Transportation Fund provides financial assistance for Harrison County residents who have been newly diagnosed with cancer and are traveling to medical appointments.
The Harrison County Community Hospital District and Foundation has sponsored the cancer walk since 2010. Since its inception over $78,000 has been raised to support local cancer patients.
Cancer patients receive $800 for transportation costs.
