Minnesota Man Wanted for Attacking Bethany Resident Extradited Back to Missouri

BETHANY, MO – The Minnesota man charged with seriously injuring a Bethany resident in an assault that is alleged to have taken place the same day he was released from jail has been extradited back to the State of Missouri.

Twenty-two-year old Baley Turner was given a 30 day sentence in jail with credit for time served after entering a guilty plea to assault on August 25th. It is alleged that after being released from jail, Turner attacked another individual with a foldable hand saw. The victim was life-flighted to Truman Medical Center. Turner was then apprehended in Iowa after reportedly fleeing from the area in a stolen pickup.

Turner was returned to Missouri Wednesday to face charges of first degree assault and armed criminal action. He is in custody in the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail.
