Minor Driver Overturns Vehicle in Ringgold County Accident

TINGLEY, IA – An accident in Ringgold County late last week sent the driver and a passenger to the hospital.

The Ringgold County Sheriff’s Office reports that a minor was driving in Tingley in a reckless manner on Thursday evening with two passengers in the vehicle and without adult supervision.

The driver lost control of the vehicle as he attempted to drift a corner on a gravel roadway. The vehicle ran off the roadway in an uncontrolled skid, ran into the ditch and overturned, coming to rest on its top in a cornfield.

When law enforcement arrived the vehicle had been rolled over onto the driver’s side. The driver and one passenger were taken to Ringgold County Hospital.
