Missing Man With Local Ties Found Dead Saturday

A missing man from Kansas City that had ties to northwest Missouri was found dead Saturday in rural Clay County.

Authorities had been searching for 61-year-old Roger Hunt who had not been seen since Monday, October 2. Early Saturday a property owner near Mosby, Missouri discovered a vehicle on his property and alerted authorities with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered a body, later identified as Hunt, a short distance from the vehicle.

The death remains under investigation by the Clay County Sheriff’s office, but at this time they say foul play does not appear to have been a factor in the death.
