Missouri Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday Coming in Early August

The back-to-school sales tax holiday is coming to the Show-Me State.

By Missouri law, the sales tax holiday begins on the first Friday in August and continues through the following Sunday.

During this time, certain back-to-school purchases are exempt from sales tax.

Eligible items include clothing, school supplies, computer software, personal computers, computer peripheral devices, and graphing calculators.

Price limits do apply and vary from item to item.

You do not need to be a Missouri resident to participate.

More information is available by contacting the Missouri Department of Revenue or visiting their website.
