Missouri Commission Works To Sweeten The School Climate Recipe

(MISSOURINET) – A statewide commission is working to switch ingredients and find a recipe that will improve the climate and culture in Missouri’s K-12 public schools. The members are putting their heads together to dish out a menu of recommendations that will meet the needs of today’s teachers and students. During a commission meeting Friday, some school workers advocated for stronger instructional leadership and putting state funding toward salaries instead of offering extra pay for even more work. The commission plans to present a sweetened version of the recipe in August to the Missouri Board of Education.
