Missouri Delegates to the Republican National Convention will Not be Going to Jacksonville After All

Missouri delegates for the Republican National Convention will not be going to Jacksonville after all. Due to a flare up of COVID-19 cases there, President Trump has called off that portion of the convention. However, a few convention events are still being held in Charlotte, North Carolina. The new plan is to have a small group of GOP delegates gather in Charlotte to formally re-nominate Trump on Aug. 24. President Trump said he would deliver an acceptance speech in an alternate form.
