Missouri Department of Corrections Reports Chillicothe Correctional Death From Monday

The Missouri Department of Corrections reports an offender’s death at the Chillicothe Correctional Center.
A press release says 67-year-old offender Joyce Burgess died Monday afternoon at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.
Burgess was serving a 15-year sentence for second-degree murder and armed criminal action from Saint Louis County.
The Missouri Department of Corrections received Burgess in November 2013.
Authorities will conduct an autopsy.
