Missouri Drying Out Again

(Missouri Net) After a few weeks of improvement, Missouri is getting drier again.

The latest U.S. drought monitor map shows slightly worsened conditions compared to last week.

Nearly 79 percent of Missouri is experiencing drought conditions, and nearly 11 percent of the state in extreme drought, an increase of around 2 percent compared to last week. Most of the extreme drought is in west-central Missouri.

More than 2 million Missourians live in areas parched by drought, while about 21 percent of the state is not experiencing any drought.
