Missouri Film Tax Credit Bill Reaches the Halfway Point in Legislature

(MISSOURINET) – Missouri is at the halfway point on a bipartisan bill that would give tax credits to attract Hollywood to the Show-Me State.

The Missouri Senate has passed a bill that would provide tax credits to companies that film at least 50-percent of a movie in Missouri.

Under the proposal, the film credits would be capped at eight-million-dollars annually. House Speaker Dean Plocher, says broadly speaking, he supports the idea.

The next stop for the bill is the Missouri House.
