Missouri FOP Endorses Schmitt for U.S. Senate

The Missouri Fraternal Order of Police has endorsed Attorney General Eric Schmitt for U.S. Senate.  Schmitt is one of several candidates running for the seat being vacated by Senator Roy Blunt.

Jay Schroeder, vice president of Missouri FOP, said Schmitt “…has shown by words, and most importantly by actions, he supports and stands with law enforcement… .”

Shortly after Schmitt was appointed Attorney General in 2019, his office launched the Safer Streets Initiative.  Under that program, the state’s most violent criminals can be prosecuted in federal court through a partnership with the U.S. Attorneys for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri.

Other GOP candidates for the senate seat include Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler, Congressman Billy Long, State Senator Dave Schatz, former Governor Eric Greitens, and attorney Mark McClosky.
