Missouri Governor Activates Emergency Operations Plan

JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Missouri Governor Mike Parson signed the Executive Order activating the Missouri State Emergency Operations Plan as a response to the recent severe weather and flooding experiences in Missouri over the last 10 days.

Friday, tornadoes struck in Ray, Saline, and Knox Counties. The Knox County tornado destroyed or did major damage to at least 35 residences in the Baring areas. 16 people were displaced. Two people received minor injuries. There was also substantial flooding in north central Missouri.

The Executive Order will run through September 5th.
