Missouri Governor Signs I-70 Expansion Funding

Missouri Governor Mike Parson signed the legislation which approves funding to expand I-70 to three lanes across the entire start.

House Bill 4 is an appropriations bill which allows for $2.8 billion dollars for the expansion.

During the ceremonial signing event in Columbia, the governor says the expansion will position Missouri as a national and global logistics leader.

The Missouri Chamber of Commerce says the I-70 expansion will be vital to the global supply chains for many industries. The chamber says 84 percent of their respondents to a survey supported using state and federal funds towards the expansion.
