Missouri House Budget Committee Chairman Praises Final $35 Billion Budget; Cites Decision on Medicaid Expansion and Increase for Foster Children

Saying that it’s critical to focus on Missouri’s most vulnerable residents, House Budget Committee Chairman Cody Smith is praising the Legislature for approving a budget that does NOT contain funding for Medicaid expansion:

That includes additional funding for adult day care and home-delivered meals and 88-million dollars for funding long-term care services in nursing homes. House Democrats called for funding Medicaid expansion, saying 53 percent of Missouri voters approved it in August. They say it would help the working poor.
