Missouri House Committee Hears Testimony about Legislation Involving Missouri Supreme Court Judges

Legislation that would limit Missouri Supreme Court judges and judges on the Court of Appeals to one 12-year term has been heard by a Missouri House committee. Lake St. Louis GOP State Representative Justin Hill, the bill sponsor, says if Missouri lawmakers are subject to term limits, so should Missouri Supreme Court judges:

Representative Hill also alleges that the Missouri Supreme Court legislates from the bench. The Missouri Bar Association president and the Missouri Circuit Judges Association testified against Hill’s legislation.
