Missouri Is On Track To Restrict Transgender Healthcare And Athletes

(MISSOURINET) – The Missouri Legislature has sent to the governor two bills that would limit transgender healthcare for those under 18 and restrict transgender athletes competing in K-12 and college sports. Representative Brad Hudson, a Republican from southwest Missouri’s Cape Fair, is in favor of both bills.

Three House Republicans sided with Democrats in opposing the bill about transgender healthcare – Majority Leader Jon Patterson, as well as Representatives Chris Sander and Gary Bonacker (BAWN-nacker). The bills go to Governor Parson, who is expected to sign them.
