Missouri Law Enforcement Officers Line the Streets to Say Farewell to Fallen Officer

(MISSOURINET) –  A Missouri police officer who was killed in the line of duty has been laid to rest.

The funeral was held yesterday for 32-year-old Daniel Vasquez, who served as a North Kansas City for about one year.

A 24-year-old man allegedly shot and killed Vasquez last week after getting pulled over for expired tags.

Officer Nicolas Pablo, of the nearby Independence Police Department, spoke at the funeral.

The alleged shooter turned himself in a short time after a Blue Alert public notification system was activated.
