Missouri Lawmaker Wants to Limit School Superintendent Salaries

Missouri school superintendents could have their salaries limited. A state House committee is considering Chesterfield Republican Representative Ben Keathley’s bill.

He wants to cap their salaries to an amount no greater than five-and-a-half times the pay of a first-year teacher.

The Missouri Association of School Administrators opposes the bill and says decisions about pay are best left to local communities to decide.
